April 13, 2020

Little Jeremy was taking a walk with his grandfather when a stranger stopped in front of them and asked, “How old are you, little boy?”  “Three,” Jeremy replied. “And when will you be four?”  Jeremy thought for a moment and replied, “When I’m through being three.”

There is a kind of rushing toward the future that can rob us of the glory and specialness of today.  We Christians are supposed to savor each day as a precious gift of God.

“This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
