John D. Rockefeller, Sr., died as a very wealthy man. A large crowd came to an auditorium for the reading of his will. As the crowd entered the auditorium, a cousin cozied up to Rockefeller’s life-long accountant and whispered, “Just between you and me, how much did John D. leave behind?” Quickly the accountant replied, “All of it.”

“Then (Jesus) said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

(Luke 12:15)
