There is a story about two little boys who were fighting, as little boys are often prone to do. One of them yelled at the other, “I’ll never speak to you again!” They went to their respective homes, but the very next day they were playing together as if nothing had happened the day before. The mother of one of the boys asked her son how it was that they were mad at each other the day before but friendly today. Her son responded, “Me and Johnny are good forgetters.”

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14-15)
