HOW TO TREAT THINGS, PEOPLE, AND GOD
Cliff C. Jones, a prominent business leader from the Midwest, started out in the insurance business. He wrote a homeowner’s policy for an older woman whose hobby was collecting antiques. One New Year’s Eve her home was gutted by fire. All of her beautiful furniture and antiques were lost. The next day she said to him, “If I could give some advice to a younger person, it would be to never fall in love with an inanimate object.”
Remember the right formula: things are to be used; people are to be loved; and God alone is to be worshipped.
