Some people are blind to wonderful things happening around them. A man once said to a priest, “Hey Father, you got it all wrong about this God stuff. He doesn’t exist. I oughta know.” The priest replied, “Why is that, my son?” “Well,” the man said, “I was ice-fishing in the Arctic far from the nearest village. A blizzard blew up with wind and blinding snow. I was a goner. So I got down on my knees and prayed real hard, begging God for help.” “And did he help you?” asked the priest. “Heck no,” the man said, “God didn’t lift a finger. I would be dead if it weren’t for some Eskimo who appeared out of nowhere and helped me.”

We are often blind to the mysterious workings of an all-powerful, loving God. God can use anybody as His agent. He can use even us. When you help a stranded motorist, are you sure God did not send you?
