A TAIL-WAGGING FAITH
There is an old story about an easterner who walked into a western saloon and was surprised to see a dog playing poker with three men. He asked one of the men, “Can that dog really play cards?” “Yeah,” one of them replies, “but he’s not much of a player. Every time he gets a good hand he wags his tail.”
When you know something wonderful, it’s hard not to show it. People of faith are usually joyful because they know lots of wonderful things. They have discovered that the God of the universe is loving and gracious, not harsh and judgmental. They are receiving from Him forgiveness, acceptance, and enormous spiritual capacities. They are experiencing the exquisite delight of His Company. So, it is hard not to smile!
Circumstances change, but joy lasts forever.
