Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers, always let his players know exactly what he was thinking. No coach could bawl out a player better than he. Henry Jordon, a Packers defensive tackle, said, “Lombardi treats us all alike, like dogs.” In 1967 Travis Williams was the kickoff return man for the Packers. On one occasion he returned a kick for a touchdown and then did a little dance in the end-zone. Lombardi called him over and said, “Travis, try to act like you have been in the end-zone before.”

It may require more grace to be a winner than a loser. How do you act when you score? Can you then exhibit restraint and humility?
